Ragnarok Online 2 Description
Ragnarok Online 2 is a free-to-play MMORPG set in the fantasy world of Midgard. It is set in the same world as the original Ragnarok Online and follows similar game mechanics. However, while the original Ragnarok Online uses 2D sprite animations, Ragnarok Online 2 uses 3D graphics.
Innovations from the previous mechanics in Ragnarok Online are the updated Job System and Profession. Players choose a Basic Class during creation (Acolyte, Archer, Magician, Swordsman, and Thief). At level 25, they can select one of two advanced classes. Acolytes can choose either the Priest or Monk, Archers can be either a Beastmaster or Ranger, the Magician can select either to be a Sorcerer or Wizard, Swordsman class can be a Knight or Warrior, and the Thief can be a Rogue or Assassin.
Aside from the main classes, characters can choose one of four crafting Jobs: Alchemist, Artisan, Blacksmith, or Chef. In Ragnarok Online, these were advanced classes of the Merchant class. However, Ragnarok Online 2 has removed the Merchant job as one of the base classes. In relation to this, a character in Ragnarok Online 2 can set up a personal shop at level 10 as an NPC. This allows the player to sell or offer services such as crafting while the player is offline.
The Card System has also been updated. Instead of slotting cards into weapons, clothes, and other wearable items, Cards in Ragnarok Online 2 are attached to characters. Cards are also now more easily obtainable, with Regular and Special Cards.
