Maple Story is one of the longest running MMORPGs from Asia. Featuring 2D graphics with a chibi anime design aesthetic, MapleStory offers a unique gaming experience compared to the 3D CGI prevalent in most newer MMOs.
In MapleStory, players create their character avatars from dozens of available options. After starting as a Beginner class, players can choose from the following classes to pursue: Explorers, Cygnus Knights, Heroes, Resistance, Nova, Sengoku, Beast Tamer, and Child of God (although depending on the region, some classes might not be available). As player characters gain levels, they can unlock advanced classes to further expand their skills and abilities.
Aside from combat skills, players can also choose Professions in MapleStory that let them gather resources. Currently, MapleStory has 5 Professions: Alchemy, Accessory Crafting, Herbalism, Mining, and Smithing. Professions allow players to provide consumables and equipment for selling to shops or for trading for Meso, the game's base currency.
MapleStory lets players adventure on their own or join party quests for greater rewards and loot. And Maple World has many quests to fulfill. While MapleStory is an older game, it offers a wide range of gameplay and cosmetic collections, which lets you define your own character's personality, with no two MapleStory toons being exactly the same.
