Gloria Victis Description
Gloria Victis is an MMORPG with a medieval theme. The game's setting features four nations in constant struggle against one another. These are the Empire of Azebia, Midland, Nordheim, and the Sangmar Empire. Player characters in Gloria Victis have 3 primary stats: Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution.
Characters gain 5 Attribute points per level and 1 Passive Ability point. Characters have a level cap of 100. At the start, a character chooses a Starter Kit between two types: Battle Kits and Crafting Kits. Battle Kits include the Guardsman, Scout, and Soldier while the Crafting Kits include the Armoursmith, Tailor, and Weaponsmith. Each kit has its own set of equipment. For instance, the Scout get light armor equipment and a spear, while the Tailor get a sword and sickle, as well as a set of tailoring recipes.
Professions are a separate progression and characters are not limited by how many Professions they can have. With enough time, a character can have level 100 in all Professions. Professions in Gloria Victis include Forestry and Farming, Cooking and Herbalism, Engineering, Mining and Metallurgy, Tailoring and Leatherworking, Artificing, Weaponforging, and Armoursmithing.
Combat in Gloria Victis is unusual for an MMORPG. There are meters for Attacking and Blocking. Each meter can be charged for a more effective result, but it costs stamina and takes more time. The meters have a color indicator from Red, Yellow, to Green. Aside from weapon attacks, there are maneuvers that one can do such as Stun, Stagger, Kick, and Backstabbing.
Characters in Gloria Victis can go adventuring in an open world alone or with a party. They can also participate in Open PvP or Territory Control, representing their nation and guild. The game also has a complicated Fame and Disgrace mechanic, which has a dynamic effect on NPC interactions.
