DUST 514 Free-to-Play Description
DUST 514 Free-to-Play was an online multiplayer first-person shooter game for the Playstation 3. The game was set in the same continuity as EVE Online. Beyond just the setting, the game DUST 514 Free-to-Play had a dynamic relationship with EVE Online, with events in the latter game having an effect on the former.
The combat in DUST 514 Free-to-Play takes place in planets that exist in EVE Online. If there are player created structures in EVE Online on the surface of those planets (built by the player population's various corporations), it would be reflected in DUST 514 Free-to-Play.
Players create their own infantry to be used in DUST 514 Free-to-Play . The creation system had similarities to the one in EVE Online, but instead of starships, it was applied on the dropsuits and vehicles, equipment, and available skins.
Players could choose a race which had up to 3 different Dropsuit variants, allowing for customization and performance options. For instance, Gallente Dropsuits have moderate armor, high armor repair, but low shields. Meanwhile, Minmatar Dropsuits have lower shields and armor, but have higher mobility and hack speed. Each race could choose between Light, Medium, and Heavy Dropsuit variants.
DUST 514 Free-to-Play also had a skill system that allowed players to train their infantry, providing passive bonuses and can unlock new skills after reaching a certain level. The combat in DUST 514 Free-to-Play offered different modes, including Ambush, Acquisition, Domination, and Skirmish.
