Age of Conan: Unchained Description
Age of Conan: Unchained is an MMORPG set in the fantasy world of Robert E. Howard's Conan, the Barbarian. At the time of the game's events, Conan has already become the ruler of the kingdom of Aquilonia, but the world is still a savage place, with civilizations vying for power.
Players entering Age of Conan: Unchained first choose one of the 4 playable races during character creation: Aquilonian, Cimmerian, Khitan, and Sygian. Characters can then become one of the 4 Archetypes: Priest, Rogue, Mage, and Soldier. Each race has access to a limited range of classes. For example, the Cimmerian race can only choose the Bear Shaman, Ranger, Barbarian, Guardian, Conqueror, and Dark Templar Classes. Meanwhile, the Stygian Race can choose the Tempest of Set, Assassin, Ranger, Demonologist, Necromancer, and Herald of Xotil Classes.
Combat in Age of Conan: Unchained is more detailed than other MMORPGs. Characters can strike and be struck from different angles, including diagonal and horizontal hits. There are combinations of attacks that are more difficult to pull off but deal more damage or cause effects.
Aside from regular questing, characters in Age of Conan: Unchained can undertake Destiny Quests. These are the main storyline quests that reflect major events in the world of the Hyborian Age and form a chain.
Age of Conan: Unchained players can participate in PvP, attacking vulnerable players in unprotected areas. Players can also join or build up their own guilds. Guilds in Age of Conan: Unchained gain renowns and can construct guild cities, as well as engage in guild against guild skirmishes to take control of battlekeeps in the Border Kingdoms.
