Also known as Otherland: Next, the game consists of multiple themed worlds, including fantasy, science fiction, steampunk, and modern. Otherland Description

Otherland (aka Otherland: Next) is a 3D MMORPG that explores multiple themes. These include the standard fantasy and science fiction tropes, to more specific subgenres like steampunk and cyberpunk. This multiversal approach is a nod to the source material, which is Tad Williams' Otherland novel series. The locations such as Lambda Mall, Steampunk Mars, medieval era 8Squared, and Asia-oriented 5Isle mirror their appropriate themes.

Otherland players can choose one of the 4 classes. These include the Assassin, Energizer, Marksman, and Warrior. Each class has their own set of skills and weapon specializations. For example, the Assassin can use the Quarter Staff, One-handed Sword, and Dual Wield Daggers. Meanwhile, the Energizer can wield Laser Weapons, Projectile Launchers, and Pulse Guns.

Players can customize their character's looks and can unlock new customizations through items looted or bought from the store. There are hundreds of options available and in development for future implementation in Otherland.
