Chronicles of Elyria
Chronicles of Elyria is a planned independent massively multiplayer online roleplaying game. Designed by Jeremy Walsh and developed by Soulbound Studios, the game was funded through crowdfunding with a Kickstarter campaign in 2016. The game boasts an ambitious dynamic and immersive system, where everything in the world is affected by the players' actions and choices, including age and lifespan mechanics. The game was also going to be designed with a finite resource-mechanic, limiting what resources can be gathered and produced. The Chronicles of Elyria was estimated for a 2017 release, but was placed on indefinite hiatus in 2020. However, Walsh provided an update stating the project would resume.

Chronicles of Elyria Description
In Chronicles of Elyria, players would begin as the member of an NPC family (or by an existing player run family). There are no classes, with the players building their attributes, knowledge, and skills.
Attributes are the basic stats that define a character's capabilities. Attributes are divided into Physical, Mental, and Social, which are then sub-divided into Force, Reflex, and Endurance. For instance, the Physical Force attribute is Strength, while the Mental Force attribute is Will, and the Social Force attribute is Persuasion.
Knowledge has to be researched while Skills have to be learned and trained. Knowledges and Skills will also have a dynamic interaction in Chronicles of Elyria. To illustrate, in order to be an effective Smith in using crafting skills, the player character will have to also be well-versed in Smelting.
As characters in Chronicles of Elyria will have a finite lifespan, they will also have a Soul. When a character dies in Chronicles of Elyria, the Soul can pass on to a new character. This will provide a means of continuity for a character that the player has worked on developing in the past. However, their Fame and Reputation will not necessarily carry over.
Fame and Reputation in Chronicles of Elyria will affect how NPCs in the world act around the character. These are also mutually exclusive, while having an effect depending on the character's actions. To illustrate, characters can have a high Fame but have a negative reputation. Likewise, a character might not be famous, but have a good reputation.
Chronicles of Elyria will also feature different Tribes, with their own societal functions, including gossip, politics, and economic roles in the game. Flora and fauna are another feature, with the crops and game the players harvest having an effect on the prosperity of the location they are in.
