Ashes of Creation Description
Ashes of Creation is a fantasy MMORPG set on the world of Verra. Players will be able to explore a persistent world that will be changed and influenced by their actions and decisions. As the Intrepid Studios description states, the game world will change and permanently be affected by how the players interact with the world itself, including future impact on new players that join the game at later dates.
Players will be able to choose from several races, with variants available. Currently, there is the Aela Humans, Pyrian Elves, Kaivek Orcs, and Dunzenkell Dwarves. Players will also be able to choose between 64 classes, divided into 8 primary Archetypes. These Archetypes include the Bard, Cleric, Fighter, Mage, Ranger, Summoner, Tank, and Rogue, which all fulfill the traditional MMORPG roles of Tank, Damage, and Support.
Ashes of Creation will have multiple progression options. Interestingly, there will be no repeatable quests or accomplishments, with characters achieving goals only once and gaining XP (experience points) from continuous exploration and finding new things to do. This is separate from XP gained from combat and using crafting skills in the game.
The environment of Ashes of Creation will also be ever changing. As players interact with the flora and fauna, monsters will change their habits and reactions. Increasing the population and establishing civilized areas where monsters roam will have consequences.
Future updates to Ashes of Creation will include static player housing, freeholds, and apartments. These will also have systems for housing security, interactive features, planting and crops, and many others. Guilds and guild castles sieges will also be incorporated in future updates.
